How long should i be working out for????

so i am six teen years old and have been going to the gym for a while. i work out my whole upper body. like biceps, triceps, deltoids, pectorals, etc. how long should i be at the gym for to get a workout and see results. i have been doing a half hour some days and an hour for more. am i doing this right please help.
